Community and Family Centre in Limonest
Located in the village centre on a steeply sloping site, the Community and Family Centre brings together a car park, a nursery and community facilities in a monolithic structure anchored in the ground. Each function occupies a floor, forming three terraced layers. The volume is set beneath the forecourt of the neighbouring church in order to preserve views and its integration into the landscape. Double-height coloured light wells illuminate the core of the building and widen the circulation areas. The tinted concrete structure and wood-concrete floor slabs are organised on an open, rational and adaptable plan.
