Tectoniques brings together architects and engineers around a collaborative project practice. Each discipline is used as a conceptual and critical tool in the search for meaning and contextual relevance. The firm works on all types of programmes and scales, for new construction as well as existing buildings, following a pragmatic approach informed by real-world constraints. Each project is conceived as a logical, rational narrative to be shared by all stakeholders. Recognised in the field of timber construction with high environmental requirements, we develop solutions tailored to each situation, based on hybrid construction systems. Guided by an economy of means, we aim to alleviate complexity through simple, intelligible forms and efficient, adaptable buildings, serving spatial quality and freedom of use.
