Reconstruction and Extension of the Proudhon Secondary School in Besançon
Project description
The Proudhon Secondary School, built in 1971 in Besançon, has been completely restructured and expanded. The project, carried out on an occupied site, retains the main building (the day school), renovated in matte white, and coordinates it with a dark wood extension, forming a coherent and unified whole. Organized around a large through gallery, the new school accommodates 700 students, with SEGPA, ULIS, CDI, administration, and sports facilities. The project highlights timber construction (post-and-beam structure, regular grid, high insulation), and complies with the RT 2012, combining compactness, natural light, and passive features.
