Project description

In a rural Vosges context, the project replaces an outdated secondary school with a new building featuring a mixed wood-concrete structure, rooted in its landscape. Set back from the street, it creates a tree-lined forecourt and secures the flow of movement. Organized according to a comb-like plan, it offers calm and bright atmospheres around green courtyards. An internal street runs through the building and unites the school community, marked by generous circulation spaces that open onto the landscape. The project emphasizes local resources with 80% of the wood sourced from the Vosges and a high-performance envelope made of wood wool.
