School Complex in Vienne
Project description
On the heights of Vienne, the project unfolds beneath a large roof that wraps around the playground. This form, both protective and open to the distant landscape, enhances the belvedere situation. Centripetal, the kindergarten rooms open directly onto the contained landscape of the courtyard. Centrifugal, the primary classrooms extend towards the surrounding reliefs. The architecture highlights the timber frame and a radiating roof structure sheltered under wide overhanging zinc eaves. Localized roof openings bring zenithal light into the heart of the plan.
