Assia Djebar campus complex in Vaulx-en-Velin
The facility is located in the city centre of Vaulx-en-Velin, where a major transformation began in the 1990s. It brings together a programme shared by the neighbouring secondary and higher education institutions, in particular the school of architecture, while remaining accessible to the general public. The building reflects this openness to the city and the diversity of uses through a simple form, both monumental and domestic. A regular column-and-beam structure frees up the floor plan. Floor slabs and roof structure are based on a system of cross beam grids.
